Hello all my lovely friends out there :) My work submitted of London Graphic Design centre ‘Artist of the month’. Winner is decided on most Facebook attention, think you can help me make that happen?
What I love about drawing on the train is it gives you a real challenge, You could be drawn for 20m or just 2. Unfortunately this man had to get of at the next stop but we had a lovely chat about his university studies.
It is amazing what detail you can get in a short about of time, I am planning to do some drawings in rush hour, will see how that one goes.

Girl on the Underground
“Being an illustrator based in London and commute into town regularly on the tube. Sitting on the train and always on the lookout for inspiration, I often sketch the people around me - on one particular day recently I wanted to draw the man reading a book in front of me. Looking in my bag, to find I only had a pen but no paper.
I started to draw on my copy of Metro, which worked surprisingly well, giving a a new layer of texture.”

I have just got myself a iPad, and really wanted to explore the drawing apps on it. I have found the ‘Brushes’ app most useful having multiple layers and being able to zoom in and draw giving you more depth to the final drawing.
Drawing with a Bambo pen on the screen is very different, but I think after doing a few drawing i will get the hang if it. This is a sketch I did of my boyfriend on the plane home from holiday.
Secret LONODN - Aldwych Underground Station Closed since 1994
“There are about 40 abandoned or relocated stations on the Underground network along its entire 255 miles (408Km) of trackway- some subsurface and some above ground. Some have vanished without trace whereas others are almost intact, grimey time capsules of the era when they were closed.”
